2024 MADA WINES NEBBIOLO ROSÉ - nebbiolo - wombat, young, nsw

$32.00

Another perfect afternoon slammer, from Hamish Young.

WHY WE LOVE IT:

Hamish Young is the founder and chief winemaker behind MADA Wines. He describes himself as a devoted advocate for the Canberra, Hilltops, and Tumbarumba regions, unwavering in his pursuit of elevating these landscapes within Australia’s fine wine narrative.

Fruit for the 2024 Rosé came from a plot of gorgeous nebbiolo grown in the Mullany Family vineyard in Wombat, Young, NSW. Planted in 1996 and grown on a melange of anicent red sand, shale and granite, the end result is a wine of delicate pale colour, enticing aromas of cherry, raspberry and some herbal spice, and a dry finish that borders on savoury. Hamish describes it as ‘watermelon slushy, smashed nectarine and orange rind.’

We think it’s best described as, ‘Pour. Another. Glass.’
