WHY WE LOVE IT:
‘Alea’ meaning ‘dice’ or ‘chance’, is the wine in the Grosset Crown that is indeed a roll of the dice. With 8g/L of residual sugar, this is a riesling made in a more European style. It balances the piercing acidity of riesling from the Rockwood Vineyard (coolest site in Clare Valley) with the gorgeous pineapple glacé, kiwi fruit and candied ginger characteristics.
It’s light on it’s feet, with pretty floral notes, mouth watering acidity and subtle tropical tones. You absolutely cannot go wrong with a bottle of Alea and your favourite asian cuisine!
